We rented this home for our annual Mother/Daughter shopping trip getaway. We have been doing this getaway for over 20 years and we must say, this is one great home. The cleanliness superseded any home or hotel we have stayed in. The accommodations were great with a fully furnished kitchen. One of the daughters fell in love with the electronic piano 🙂 Thank you letting us stay there and we are looking forward to our stay next year.

We were surrounded in luxury from the moment we pulled into the drive. Five beautiful bedrooms and three beautiful bathrooms, all with luxurious towels and everything you could ever need or want for overnight visits. We were a party of six women who have been friends since our early teaching days in the mid 1970's. We are now spread out across California and Oregon and this was a much needed reunion. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and suited for gourmet cooking. The owners have stocked the cupboard with spices, cooking oils and coffee filters (filters are critical). We dined outside on the lovely patio for all but the two meals we had in downtown Portland. We took a taxi van to downtown Portland on Saturday night at a cost of under $30.00. The house is close to the charming town of Lake Oswego with great walking, dining and shopping. We slept well, ate well, laughed and relaxed at a fraction of the cost of staying in a sterile hotel environment. We already planning a return visit for next fall. And to add to the charm, sophistication and all round wonderfulness of this property is the owner. From our first contact six months ago, James has been accommodating, kind, thoughtful and considerate. He provided all contact information and made us feel we could reach out to him for anything. This VRBO is a WINNER!!
We rented this home for 10 months during a trip to Portland from the UK. James was a fantastic host - always responsive, willing to provide help, advice and local knowledge, but never intrusive. The home is well-equipped and spacious and has plenty of toys, books and games to entertain children. We are looking forward to coming back again next summer! For anyone visiting long term, Dr. Kassay is amazing for the entire family.
My family and I spent a week in Portland and this house was absolutely perfect for us! The neighborhood is beautiful and is just a quick trip from downtown. It is very spacious, with eight of us we never had any issues with privacy and I can hardly say the same about a hotel. One of my favorite things about the house is that there is no TV! At first we weren't so sure how the kids would handle it, but to our surprise, they didn't miss it at all! What's better is that when it came time to wind down at night, they played games together and read books! Things I have a hard time getting them to do at home. James and Kara, thank you for an amazing week! I hope we can do it again soon!

This is a lovely house and everything well thought of. We were fortunate to be able to enjoy it and spent good times with my company visiting. The inside of the house was well maintained kept to high standard.
Great updated house, we enjoyed our stay. Nicely decorated, very clean, wonderful deck, worked out very well for our family. Nice location, close to the interstate, 15 minutes from downtown, many parks, zoo, and restaurants, etc. Walking distance to a new Fred Meyers. James and Kara were very accommodating, easy to work with. Would definitely recommend this to friends and relatives.
